A crafty Pokemon fan reveals the cute stuffed toy they created that is inspired by one of the first generation of pocket creatures, Doduo.

One crafty fan of the Pokemon franchise has gone online to show off the cute Doduo plush toy that they created. Known for being one of the 151 pocket creatures from Pokemon's Kanto region, fans of the Normal/Flying-type will likely find the artist's fluffy, stuffed creature incredibly endearing and adorable.

Even though The Pokemon Company has launched many video games across the decades, long-time fans of the franchise still love and adore the Pokemon from Gen 1. This may be because the first batch of Pokemon paved the way for its following generations, or the fan base is simply attached to the very first pocket creatures that made up their battle roster. No matter the reason, this adoration with Kanto region Pokemon can still be seen today, and more so online, whether it involves artwork, fan theories or discussions, or original products that the player base makes themselves.

Posting a short video on Reddit, user Pusillanimity showed off the cute Doduo plush that they created. In the footage, the artist positioned the stuffed toy in different ways, showcasing how posable and flexible it can be. The video also demonstrated that the Doduo toy can stand on its own, even if it has bendable necks and legs. The toy's mouth can also be closed or opened, giving it more varied looks for photos. Fans who love the Normal-type Pokemon from the Kanto region would definitely have a lot of fun playing with this Doduo stuffed toy, if added to their collection.

The Reddit thread was full of compliments for Pusillanimity's work, especially since they were able to encapsulate every detail about the Pokemon Doduo very well. The posable plush toy had the same round fluffy brown heads and body as the Pokemon in-game and in the animated series. Some fans seemed very fond of the toy's posability, given that its legs, necks, and beaks can be moved. Other Pokemon community members also inquired if the artist had an online shop where they sold such pieces. Unfortunately, the Redditor has yet to answer if they have these kinds of items up for sale.

According to the artist's Reddit profile, they seem to have a knack for making crafts. Some of their other works involve more Pokemon-inspired stuffed toys and products, as well as beloved characters from fellow Nintendo title, Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Hopefully this is not the last pocket creature that will inspire the artist. With a whole Pokemon roster available, there are a lot of materials that the artist can take for future references.
