Japan celebrates National Cat Day on February 22, 2022 and The Pokemon Company International will release some Sprigatito merchandise so that people can honor the occasion. This new lineup of merchandise based on the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet starter include a variety of household and daily life. The new Sprigatito items will be available in Japanese Pokemon Center stores and through its online store, and it includes a cat hat. There are also some items for cats inspired by Pokemon Magikarp and Snorlax.

Sprigatito is a grass Pokemon introduced in Scarlet and Violet and native to the Paldea Region, which is loosely inspired by Spain. The Pokemon exudes a sweet aroma, which grows stronger when under the sun. Sprigatito’s Japanese name is “Nyaoha,” a pun on the Japanese word for “meow,” and the Spanish name for leaf (hoja). The new merchandise lineup is called “Nya! Nya Nya! Nyaoha!” in Japanese.

Some of the items included in the new lineup are useful daily life items, like dishes, hoodies, a mat, keychains, and even matcha tea. You can check out the Pokemon merchandise based on Sprigatito in the gallery below, as well as the hat on a cat.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are available on the Nintendo Switch, and the new Sprigatito line of merchandise will be available on February 22, 2023 in the Pokemon Center Japanese online store.
